"For Twos, everything is relational. They make their way in the world by connecting with almost every. person they encounter and building a relationship with everyone they can." -Suzanne Stabile
Brief Overview
Twos have trouble with identity; they honestly don’t know who they are without the people around them.
Twos want to experience deep connection, much like many other numbers, but Twos want deep connection with everyone they meet.
In fact, Twos will burn out trying to connect with too many people.
Because they are present-focused and in touch with their feeling and doing centers, Twos will instinctively know what needs to be done right now in order to help others. This can cause the Two to run ragged to serve.
In Relationship
Twos live for their relationships with others.
They want everyone to like them, including people they just met.
Twos define themselves by other people and how they think others think about them.
Twos don't know their own wants and needs because they're so focused on the wants and needs of others.
They experience deep connections, but they never fully satisfy the longing of being wanted.
Twos can subconsciously manipulate others to need them and affirm them.
Dependent Stance
Stances are formed by which of the centers of intelligence is repressed. For Twos, it is thinking. Although Twos think all the time, their thinking is non- productive. They are generally thinking about relationships. They worry if someone is mad at them; they wonder if someone needs their help; they question their standing with people. Twos need to verbally process in order to sort through what thoughts are true and what are created in their mind.
